China is systematically replacing Western-led corporate responsibility and supply-chain standards with its own frameworks, weakening the ability of Australia and allied nations to enforce labour, environmental, and ethical standards on Chinese suppliers and mineral processors. This deepens Australia's reliance on Chinese-mediated supply chains for critical minerals (cobalt, tantalum, tin, tungsten) and reduces Australia's leverage to decouple from China-dependent production networks, undermining Pillar 5 (Decoupling) and Pillar 3 (Industrial Base) resilience.
